About

Rossen was born in 1964 and now lives in Sofia. Exhibiting profound interest in art, design and architecture from his school years, he is involved in photography as a student but begins shooting for real in 2005. He has participated in exhibitions of the Bulgarian Photography Academy, Varna Photo-Salon, Canon Bulgaria, Photo-Forum, Bodygraphia, and was a photographer of the month in the magazine B+W Photography, UK and others.

He made his first solo exhibition in 2006 in Sofia. In 2011 he made an exhibition with two Bulgarian artists in Prague and Bratislava - 12 photographs, 12 graphics, and 12 oil paitings. The same year in April, he opened his 2nd solo exhibition in the gallery Altera, Sofia - "The Sense of Sea." Following these achievements, he made a 3rd solo exhibition included in the Month of Photography 2012 and participated in two group exhibitions in 2015 at Photosynthesis Gallery and Interpred Gallery, Sofia. The exhibition "There..." was presented in Sofia in 2016 as part of the Month of Photography. The same exhibition "There..." was also shown at BCI-Budapest in 2019.

He is working in the field of fine art photography using selective focus technique with strong emphasis on abstract and blur. He prints a small number of selected photographs on Hahnemühle fine art paper using controlled print of copies with certificates.
